Here is how the Philippines were once created: Gabriel, the archangel, being the representative of the Philippines, approached the throne of God, our LORD, and said: “LORD, is it possible that You could create the Philippines as the most beautiful region on earth, where it looks like here in Paradise?” - “Granted“, said the LORD. “And, LORD, do they then get the most splendid islands with magnificent scenery and great nature, with mountains and valleys and springs and rivers?” - “Granted”, said the LORD. “And, LORD, will there be a sea with crystal-clear waters teeming with gorgeous fish and colorful corals and superb coastlines and white sandy beaches?” - “Granted”, said the LORD. “And, LORD, will then there be very friendly and joyous and hospitable people, and the girls, LORD, the girls there will be among the most beautiful, charming and graceful in the whole world?” - “Granted”, said the LORD. Then all the other angels and archangels who represented other regions of the world, complained bitterly and cried in unison: “LORD”, you have given all the beauty of paradise to the Philippines, and what is now left for us?” Then the LORD said to them: “Relax, relax, you don’t know yet what kind of Politicos I have in store for them.” This is a little joke that goes around here. If, however, you spend your vacation with us, you will certainly not become involved with politicians. Just enjoy the Paradise, the fascinating, often breathtaking scenery of our islands, on land or on the sea, and experience maybe the best holiday of your lifetime.
